After 3 trips to Osaka, we finally decided to purchase a Icoca card. lol. Nuts, I know but it makes travel in Kansai area so much easier.
Goal: Gotemba
To purchase an express bus ticket to Gotemba you need to walk to Yaesu South exit. Show your JR pass. Wait at bus stop 1. Hop on the Tomei Highway Bus LTD EXP headed to Hamamatsu station 浜松駅. Our bus departed at 11:40am and arrived 1:20pm at Gotemba.
The free shuttle bus from JR bus stop to Gotemba Premium Outlet was quick to swing on by, as we just got off the JR Highway express bus. Awesome. When we headed back to Tokyo we caught the JR Kanto bus and it costs ¥3,080 for two people, as we thought it was a private bus line. Time is of the essence. Sis doesn't read ahead of time, so I was making a quick judgment call.
Gotemba Premium Outlet is a fun place. Ferris wheel, special event place, food bazar, nice restaurants, and plenty of high brands from Europe or USA with some discounted items.
For lunch we had mushroom pizza and fried chicken fingers with coke cola and ginger ale. The best part is being opposite of Mount Fuji. Sis and I plus hundreds of people took pictures of Mount Fuji. It is just so large and grand. I feel as if I'm right up close to it. Well, I guess we are, since we are at the foot of the mountain. lol.
I have managed to score a cheaper price on a Ralph Lauren wallet for bro. Half priced Anna Sui's key strap and tact pin for sale. Sis found a hat with 30% off price tag. However, many things were of high price with small discount and therefore we didn't buy very much. Any over ¥10,000 was too pricy for us. Also found Godiva dark chocolate raspberries for ¥500. They taste like mini cherry ripes. lol.
Browsed around in Tokyo's Daimaru before jumping on Shinkansen to Shin Osaka. Nice stuff on sale but I'm hungry and tired. Off to Kinokuniya for eki bento box dinner.
