Findings #11: Review of iphone apps in learning Japanese

It has the best study guide and easy to follow instructions. I think, I have got the gist in each chapter. Now I have to refine my knowledge in forming my own sentence on my own. Well, basic ones anyway. I highly recommend this program.

Part of my daily morning exercise is to use this app to test myself before going to work. For fun and to see how much information my brain can retain each day. So far so good. I highly recommend this program too.

~JLPT1 app on Iphone~

The application uses Kanji to test your knowledge of matching Hiragana. Interesting. Although I am not at the stage to sway from Hiragana as yet. I need to iron out my sounding and listening abilities. I would say you need to be advanced before using this application.

Findings #1: In August 2008 I had the desire to learn JPY.

August 2008, my boss said that our team usually shut up shop around Christmas and a bit after New Year. She asked did I want to go on holiday using my annual leave, of course, I said yes. I thought long and hard where should I go with my budget and did I save enough? Then it hit me, I have always wanted to visit Japan.

September 2008, I got in contact with travel agent to book my flight and check if any visa was required. Also I went in forth of scouring and trolling the internet for good and easy survivals but despite finding heaps of words, I was unable to find audio play back which match the words I was keen on.

Briefly took a break of a few months to plan and concatenate desired locations to visit plus how to get there.

December 2008, I never gave up though and winged it when I was in Japan with my sister. Only recall 5 or about sentences and not much else. Ugh. lol.

June was wearily icy cold

I know it is winter and all, but does it have to be so icy cold that you need bomber jackets to keep you warm. I find it a struggle to wake up and even wash my face. Plain cold water feels sharps. Despite that I did go shopping, hang out with a new bunch of people who I met from Japanese language club, and watch a movie or two. I am keen on smart phones but haven't found one that has good battery, camera with flash included, doco editor that displays Chinese and Japanese. sigh. YouTube is interesting, I did not you can record adverts and upload online without fear of infringing copyright. hee hee.
