Who would have ever thought that tradies would skip and cut corners in your presence. Apparently, they do. The new frame was put int where the once damaged bathroom window existed, but sadly, the hard wood they brought in was untreated. What?! Why? Then there is the gap where the tiles meet the frame. They skipped on the filler. They did not silicone it. Only one side of the wooden frame had any caulking done on it. Geez, talk about a rip off! The dude even argued with me and repeatedly request that I call the my so called insurance and beg them for a painter, a tiler, and a handy man. Fuck that! I went off to Bunnings and brought myself a timber primer, timber stain, silicone glue for bathroom/kitchen, and silicone glue for outdoor use, and some paint brushes. 19 hours after I finished what the tradies failed to do to in the first place. Besides the insurance scope only stated replacement of window and security door. Ever heard of scope creep?! Sometimes I wonder why I pay for insurance. It took three months to get it replaced, only to have it partially installed. My data plan is far more useful than these ass-of-a-business.

Started using baking soda with essential oils to deodorise certain spaces in the room. Oh golly, gosh, it smells soft and refreshing. Sadly, the white vinegar is not removing the cigarettes smells coming from bro's room. We still have a fair way to go to making the house smell nice.

It is amazing how people have time to troll other people everyday. Do they not have anything else better to do? Too much luxury time I say. They should be forced to clean the ocean and preserve our rain forest.

I wish I could get out there and make a difference, but I have no money and no influence. A few people have stated until I start publishing something, I am not going to be respected, irrespective of the field. Surely, that is ignorant thinking. When so many publishing material have embargo and are locked behind a paywall. People on the field have extensive experiences with issues at hand than that theorist loving publishing monger.

The gap between reality and research is only going to grow wider. Some of the general public have stopped reading research papers and stopped respect scientists. Probability poor access attributed to the gap. The status quo form of communication is stagnant and lack awareness campaign. Which I believe open access supporters have argued many times and over in their blogs and conference talks. Also, members of the general public would like to provide feedback to these research papers, but there is never a wiki page or feed back form for it. If we want people who are experiencing hardship or rather the one dealing with the researched "issue" to speak up and add value to what has already been research, we need to provide a proper communication channel.

It breaks my heart when publishers and researchers place embargo that goes for 7 to 9 years. And lack email address.

A cold start to the new year...but all is good and fine. My resolutions for the year are to learn to be comfortable climbing on an angle, write more tweets, and use less products in my life.  That include gadgets sadly. One must save for future medical bills.

I feel refreshed after the trip and partially tired now. Trying to do multiple things at once is not easy. First off the cab, writing up my first assignment for the summer semester. Second is to organise my goals for 2017. Lastly, try to visit all those fabulous Christmas markets around Victoria. I too, want to enjoy this festive season. A blink of an eye and time has past us all.

I forgot about November. Oh, gosh. It has been so hectic and tiring. I did not make a blog post for November.

I have been trying sort out a big matter with my university. Why was I blocked from semester 3 enrollment and blocked from electronic resources. Apparently, the university's graduation system deemed I had sufficient points to graduate, despite I still have two incomplete core units to go, and so, the system un-enrolled me and then proceed to block me from accessing electronic databases. Yeah. I was unable to download electronic articles. It took up two weeks worth of communication to iron it all out. The stress was unwarranted and squandered time that could have been spent doing research.

In the meantime, I have applied for a shared Social Media role with ALIA Student and New Grads group. So far, no news as yet.

Then I had to plan and pack for my one week holiday. My brother took ages to make up his mind, about as to whether to book a rental car or not. When he finally did book one, but it was done so at the very last minute. Whoever thought nagging someone was so exhausting.

Tasmania was gorgeous and there were plenty to see. That is if you like galleries, museum, farms, beaches, and mountains.
