Heels can kill

It's been a while since i wore high heels and i must say i got a lot of practice to do. Hurts like hell. My feet feel the strain and my calf muscle were so tense. I ended up getting muscle ache in the upper right thigh. sigh. i can never be a hot chick in heels. lol. Overall high heels look great but they require lots of skill and patience. Definitely not for the fainted hearted or chicken.

Sometime it is hard to let go of a good thing. For example, Centrelink.

We all must grow up and support ourselves. I have been on Centrelink support since i was a child under my mom's account (she was a single mother). Then by the time i was 16, i was on Austudy (hence before renamed to Youth Allowance). After unsuccessful attempts at finding work i sought help from Centrelink and was allocation to job network, AMES. After 6 month of unemployment i was sent to Lady Growie Childcare, who has a wonderful support team and has great training facilities. Robinson Reserve Neighbourhood House was a wonderful environment for new staff and community helpers, playgroups, and childcare. Job Co is another work for the dole organisation who provide various activities in Brunswick. Skill West Link is another work for the dole organisation who does its best despite distance in location (Broadmeadows) to assist work for the dole particpants. Thank you all. However, i'm ready for a serious career action plan and apply for real HELP DESK or LIBRARY jobs.

I discontinue to dabble in job search training, applying for jobs only because it has the FULL TIME title written on its advertisement, and work for the dole. When Lady Growie arranged an appointment for me with Yola from RRNH and Yola asked me, "do you have passion for childcare?" I couldn't lie. I said, "no but i can try". She that won't do. She can see clearly i'm uninterested in such role. She is right about that one. In the end I did my best to handle other people's children as they are precious future beings. In addition, I did office administration and computer maintenance for RRNH with cheerfulness. However, i keep her words fresh in my mind, to continue a job you don't care about is a waste of life. That made me realise i should pursue work that supports my interest.

Also i found it very difficult to attend morning appointments with AMES as i work at nights and i don't get home until 11 or 12 midnight. I cannot wake up for 9:30am appointments or work for the dole programs, and be expected to juggle my part time job. Even if my part time job is mediocre to many people because my job is classified under CALL CENTRE. My job entails THINKING and lots of it mind you, we think on spot, we apply our latest knowledge (updated every two months) and experience, we tailor our language to clients level, and we use various programs to troubleshoot each call. My job title is ADSL BROADBAND TECHNICAL SUPPORT. Hence the name then you know this job is NOT TELEMARKETING. I know to many people 5 hours on the phones is nothing but my job is not selling it is a THINKING JOB! I am amazed how my teachers and fellow classmates can put up with me and i love them all very much. AMES needs to know i found that ADSL BROADBAND TECHNICAL SUPPORT JOB myself and i'm proud of myself. Sure it is part time hours but i fought very hard to impress in the telephone and face to face interviews, plus numerous job tests that comes with this ADSL BROADBAND TECHNICAL SUPPORT JOB.

I may sound angry but i'm not, AMES has being half supportive, facilities wise anyway, but not great at supporting my grand interest or courage in seeking roles in computers or library industry.

I have reported such stuff to Centrelink headquarters but i feel the easiest way to deal with this is to give up. I am gonna try my best out there on my own. That is why today i had cancelled my New Start Allowance account.

Two things affect me in inital stages of thinking if the person is my ideal partner:

AGE
I tend to like guys within range of my current age. This year i'm 26 therefore 24-26 applies. Only one or two younger guys in my life have taken my breath away. But older guys reminds me of my dad or brother. Ew. My mind can't deal with that ever.

RACE
I need to be crystal clear on this topic. No guy or anything can persuade me. If i'm racial then i'm sorry but that's me. This is to save everyone time and effort and emotions. I'm ATTRACTED TO CANTONESE, CHINESE, JAPANESE, VIETNAMESE, HISPANICS, LATINO, and a few ANGLO-SAXON.

Dear friends,

My annual leave was a bliss in waiting after a hectic non-break year in 2005. My four days in Sydney was half scenic and half negotiation. Reason for so being is my travel companion was my brother and he was mr negative most the time, as he hates the idea of being a tourist (but we are). We ended up only seeing major tourist spots from a far or worst from the map and no more. To make it worst he was indecisive about many things. However, i was persistent and ended up visiting: China town, Queen Victoria Building, Circular Quay, Darling Habour, Habour Side shopping centre, Haymarket + Paddy's market, The Rocks, Sydney Opera House, Hyde Park, Centrepoint, NSW state library, go on monorail, Kingsgrove, Hurstville, Orbit bar, Museum of contemporary art (saw Kienholz's "not my fault" photography that was on display), and Cremone point.

The weather for the first two days was pretty bad as it rained non stop on Wednesday 18th January and half of Thursday 19th. Friday 20th and Saturday 21st was balmy warm. I also met up with my NSW relatives and my friend, Arnold. We all had a splendid time hanging out. Indeed Sydney is bigger than Melbourne but the insides of their buildings is smaller than Melbourne and not very grand looking either. Streets of Melbourne offer more seating and trash cans. My leg got cramps by Friday afternoon. We walked more than we took local transport. The habour reminds me of Hong Kong's Kowloon port looking over to Hong Kong Island.

I miss Melbourne, Highpoint City Shopping centre, Collingwood, and Prahran very much. Home sweet home.

Year 2005 - a summary of my life events

Just to be fair i've reduced my life into dot points. As time is of the essence. yes?

March - June
my daily grind goes like this: Monday to Friday:
6am wake up
7am catch train
8am at school
10am have morning tea at the cafeteria
3pm finish school, read personal emails and print assignments/report/club agenda
5pm head off to city and grab a bite
6pm rock up at work, start up programs at work, read work emails and attend team meetings
7pm login telephone system and start work = taking calls
11pm finish work
11:20pm catch tram
12 midnight reach home town either grocery shopping/head home and sleep

February
School started 05/02/05
Two job interiews (only 1 succeeded).Orientation hosting duties in place. New students can be either shy lambs or a snob. Most of the ladies liked Oliver doing the talking. Many found me to be helpful.

March
Call centre job with Teletech. In bound helpdesk handling Telstra ADSL broadband clients.Work: 4 hours x 5 days. 7-11pm.Drinking with work mates. Found out 2 of my work mate are gay but i care about them just the same. Clubbing with work mates. An ex-work mate asked me if he could perform a body shot on me, i said no. Celebrating work mates' birthdays. Two were people's 21st birthday.Infomaniacs club (school club affliated with student union) revitalised by Patricia Sleeping in classes and getting yelled at for doing so.School: 7 hours x 4 days.

April
Easter break from school. I went to work on all public holidays.Bloody hell, i deserve a day off from everything.I did some shopping therapy. Played PS2 Jack and Daxter 3 game. It so awesome. The precursors were fuzzy creatures. So cute!Brother in Thailand.Nokia 7280. What a beautiful gift. YEAH!

May
Completed many assignments ahead of schedule. Study for exams.Sue played PS2 Star Wars Lego. We knew the ending before the movie came out. So cool.Watched lots of Manga DVD on weekends to relax.

June
Watched Star Wars 3. Wow. Some ending. Looks really bad the way lava burnt Anakin.T-bar party thrown by Teletech's splash team. drank 3 bottles. my co-worker likes me. yet he has a girl at work who likes him. i suggest we stay pals.Played PC game Sacred Underworld. Eww... get challenging new enemies. I'll kill for my king.Reading a book, "he's just not that into you" by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.Infomaniacs club will disband after everyone has resigned from their role and never attended any of the planned events. Members did not object to this idea. 3 month probabtionary period review after 28th June.

July
Manage to get more sleep as I had 3 week break from school yet I still went to work every evening.Did some cleaning around my desk, gosh, so much trash. Not as much as my brother. His trash is all over the place.Don't have to buy any school books this semester 2. Yay!

August-September
Watched the fabulous "Charlie and the chocolate factory - updated version" the movie, total brillant and such a wise cracker of a movie. ALso watched "wedding crashers", "wallace and gromit feature film", "deuce bigalow the European gigolo".Go-Karting; I ended up bruising my back and knee, and my arms were sore. ha ha. Overall I had fun. Many birthdays: Benjamin Petersen's 23rd, Bridie Flynn's 25th, Mike Ufer's 34th, Micheal Tran, Chris Lean, Andrew Eastwood, and Matthew Morris.

October
watched movie "40 yo virgin".i had dinner with co-workers.Won novelty prize from work. It was a silver plastic wand, TT baseball cap, glo head band, and pepsi max can.We actually had a real fire drill [13/10/05] and the fire bridage came to check our building. An area had water leakage that spark off the alarm system.It is official my Nokia 7280 mobile is beyond repairable = dead. Very sad!

November
In the Melbourn Cup (race number 7) Maykabe Diva came 1st. Very amazing race it was as the horse came out of no where and beat everyone. The horse I chose Portland Singa was among the top 4 during the race but in the end it came 6th place. Boo hoo. Well, at least my brother won some money back.One day in one of my subject a teacher kept telling not to taking notes when we want to whether it be about the website or plain doodle. ha ha. Totally pissed off my whole class for the day. lol.Signed up for online instant messaging: Y!messenger, ICQ, and MSN messenger as well. Fell ill with cold due to sleep depreviation, had runny nose and sore throat. Nice way to end the school year.

December
I went on a Yarra Valley day trip [3rd December] with wonderful fellow classmates: Ursula, Lee and Mike. We visited St.Andrew's market, Kingslake, has lunch at Yarra Glen's Fergurson Vineyard, walked around a park near Maroondah reservoir park.I'm 26 years old this year and I've come to the point where clothes needs to flatter my current figure not my desired figure. Now i'll be pay close attention to details and fitting fabrics, meaning buy less think more. hee hee.

Car in park mode & hand brake upbefore starting the car. Think fast and make snap devisions.

November Thoughts

i prefer non-smokers. it is not so much as health issue. i just can't stand it. maybe if smoke smelled better i wouldn't mind. :D

Ms. Doubt

One word to desrcibe me well is "doubt", I tend to doubt everything before accepting the unknown. For many people this is common to be doubtful of other people and things but for me it remains with me for a long period of time and then the doubt just saturates in the background while I live my life. There are things I don't mind taking a risk as long as the risk is small.

As you come across new experience do you realise what are your true fears, for instance while playing ps2 games, did i find that i'm afraid of heights. Another is meeting someone new and being romantic scares me. Traveling overseas every moment I sense I will go poor and be lost. However, I live through it all without embracing my fear or facing them. Odd. Fear and doubt does hold us back from being bold and adventurous. Is this normal?

I can't keep my eyes wide open!

Ever since I took on this new job. I have nearly slept in all my classes and now I am beginning to fall as sleep at work. Ugh! Talk about embarassing. Remembering scripts can be hard and to juggle with additional information that keeps coming in and new problems. I am amazed at call centre staffs. How do they do it? With such ease.

Some people are sensitive bunnies

I, myself have become so desensitised by years tolerating society but i come across a few people are very ingrained with traditional views. Here I experience back lash resulting in people feeling they were offended and victimised just from a petty conversation. Have we taken two steps back?

PS. Oh just some people i had come across during this time in my life.
