Chinese New Year.
The family is over it. No one wanted to go to temple or street festival to celebrate it anymore. I did manage to rope mom and dad to attend the one held in Springvale. The Victoria Premier came by for 5 minutes too. the entertainment was wildly good. Too bad dad found them all boring. Mom could not stop giving commentary for each performance. We had free Chobani yougurt and free environmental bags. Dad could not stop staring at the street food and saying they are making money today. O'duh.
White night.
My sister and I went into the city pretty late in the evening. Our first pit stop was Bourke Street, there we watched student fashion parade, and when I told my sister drag queens are performing at Collins Street, she insisted we go there now. Upon arrival we saw several performances on top of Centre Way balcony. Then among the apartment another impromptu performance by another drag queen group. We were so lucky. Then we headed down to Federation square and Alexander garden. The floating water was pretty. The planets was inspiring. My sister love the neon dogs the most. Too bad the smartphone could not capture the neon orange dog poo well. We then trek all the way to Carlton gardens. We ogled at display of art works, watched the projection, and was puzzled by the metal snake on fire. Overall, it was a good effort.
Pokemon Go - Community day.
It was riddled with technical issues. Network error (2) and error (26) plagued the games for three hours straight. Our catch rate fell down to 70%. After having thrown the ball the game would cut out and the pokemon would temporary disappear, then reappears, but you would have to try and catch it again. Sometimes it never shows up again. With the notifications of hundo (100% IV pokemon) I could not resist, but hop between parks in Melbourne. However, all the hundo can only be found in outer suburbs. I did not have access to a car. My family does not wish for a female to learn to drive their brand new cars. Mind you I have been told by a RACV driving instructor that I am a natural and have a knack for communicating with other people outside the car. I did manage to score four shiny Dratini, two 96 % IV Dragonite, and one 98% IV Dragonite. It was both an exhilarating day and a dismal day.

Library management system is not sexy, it is like plumbing. A necessary infrastructure. So, libraries can carry out their work efficiently. Sadly, it will never going to be cheap. #VALA2018 #s41— Melly Tango (@melpucca) 15 February 2018
