November 2009

Heat wave of 30 plus degree hit our State as if we were in the tropics. Still no sign of Spring anywhere. Flowers die from the heat and lack of rain.

7 November 2009 Watched the movie SAW VI (but I have only seen snippets of the previous ones) and I see the point of the film, however, it begs to be questioned, is it all about revenge compared to its goal of teaching to be fair and live life decently. Um. ponders. Should we dissect it film, its writers, and horror genre to the bitter details or just accept it for its entertainment value. Or as some of the patrons in the Half pipe seating room, made out in the dark while watching the film. Is that considered a a ridicule of the film's point and value? Ah. So many thoughts, so little memories.

Weddings are a peculiar event, many variation can made, tradition can be dropped but to celebrate the night away remains as key elements. My friend's wedding (8 November 2009) was played to a different tune, perhaps I either watched too much movies or attend too less of weddings to know better. However, one thing for sure, I do prefer people have name tags, volunteers to have access to family photo album when checking in guests, and light entertainment created by friends. Also the very least is bubbles and some confetti, oh come on. lol. (pre-empted Sorry to the cleaners though). There was photographs taken outside the church (1 of 3 buildings), cake cutting, sunset back drop, their first dance as married couple, babies/toddler crying, red packet 利是袋, and speeches (note: restricted exclusively to best man, brides maid, and eldest brother David). Bride changed dress shortly after cake cutting and before dance. With everyone watching them dance, I'm sure they were nervous. I would describe in detail but it is NOT my place to elaborate on someone's special day.
