People say to me, you always favour technology over analog means when it comes to solving a problem. Well, if the problem was solely a physical issue then, yeah, I would employ analog solutions. However, most of the problem I have come across are either communication issues or work processes issues that are so closely related to poor use of available technology tools. Unfortunately, technology is not something I can afford to ignore in my line of work, where jobs are not back filled, yet we are to produce more digital content for internal and external stakeholders, and expected to complete the same amount of work with same time frames. The pressure is mounting and if we do not use technology to assist, then what should we be really using, I ask. Who still manually entering data into the cloud based web applications these days? Who even manually uploads the same image individually per social media platform? Eh? ever heard of IFTTT?
