It feels like summer when you wind the car window all the way down, naturally the flies bug you, and you can hear small aeroplanes flying above you. as you get of the car, you try peel yourself away from the seat, you feel the sweat behind your knee. pop open the trunk to reach for a can of fanta stored in the eski. the sun beaming down brightly and hot as you walk to the trees in the bushes. you feel slightly tired and loss of appetite yet your thirst is never ending. when you reach your friend's place you hide in the lounge watching tv or playing cards till it is 7pm you head out to the veranda and wait for the cool breeze to kick in. now that is what summer felt like in Australia back in the 1980s.1990s summer was splashing or squirting water at my pets and playing Barbie dolls who had dyed hair that changes from blonde to pink in ice water. we would be hanging off hanging line with siblings and friends. climb to garage roof when the sun is just about to go down yet before dinner. BBQ in the evenings was the beginning of an evening and probably still a trend or has FB broadcasting and its party crashers ruined it all for the next generation.
In the 21st century the feel of summer is different, you have traffic jams, train cancellation, bike riders bumping into pedestrians, surfing Internet, people take away more than BBQ and worse many ppl live in homes that are shoe boxes with no veranda just balcony used to hang their laundry.
In the last three decades what did summer felt like for you?

Life has a way of chucking a few surprises. Such as an another roof leak. Well, a more positive one, is someone has a crush on me but it is "in progress" of turning into something more. Only time will tell, as I learned to be more patient and let people process their feelings rather than to speed things up just because there is a spark. Besides before this "surprise" I was comfortable being single and mapping out my travel plans. I will now have to incorporate this person into the picture and consider their plans too. However, I'm sure I only prayed for luck, health, and wealth for myself, while at Shinto shrines I prayed for my brother to find a wife. Weird how things turned out.

Not long after my first eye infection, I have my first bladder infection, how unlucky am I, yeah? There were many factors: dust, stress, not drinking right, allergies, and not using the right soap can lead to such painful body illnesses. The human body is such a quirky business.FYI to myself to handle UTI's level 2: bladder infection.
